Το παρακάτω κείμενο δημοσιεύτηκε στη Βρετανια και σας το παραθέτουμε:

Students in Greece have come out to protest the Police’s execution of  15-year old Alexis Grigoropoulos  on the 6th December and to demonstrate solidarity with workers in struggle in the General Strike. University and School campuses
have been occupied up and down the country and the government of Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis has been rocked by calls for an immediate general election.

The following are the demands presented by Students in occupation of the Journalism and Mass Media School of Aristoleion University of Thessaloniki:

1.       The breaking of the Government.

2.       The punishment of murderers in the police of innocent comrades and other victims.

3.       The Disarmament of the Police.

4.       The Disbandment of the ‘Special Guardians Force.’

5.       The Breaking of the MAT Forces.

6.       The Awakening of Society’s consciousness of its great enemy – the capitalist government and its executioners in the Police.

(…)the police repression has not broken the will of the protestors, but only strengthened their resolve. The usual sectarian party-politics rampant in student politics have been suppressed in favour of
a United Front strategy to combat the threat posed by the unrepentant police executioners and their masters in government.

With regards to the much-publicised role of the Anarchist movements in instigating violence, some Anarchist organizations have formed their own United Fronts and have
excluded rioters and looters from their leagues. The rioters fall into four categories:

A small number of agents provocateurs inserted by the security forces; opportunistic and disaffected youth venting without political orientation venting
their frustration of state targets and private businesses; people belonging to oppressed and victimised minorities taking advantage of the chaos to loot money and material goods in order to survive;
Anarchists who make a fetish of direct action – believing that the people are in a constant state of conflict with the police thus selective targeting of banks, state institutions and multinational corporations is a political act.
There is also evidence that the Government has recruited and armed Fascist organizations to act as paramilitaries and attack protesters.

Therefore we see that contrary to what the Capitalist media would have us believe, the violence is not monopolised by “hooded Anarchists bent on setting the world alight”,
and the protesting is in fact the explosion of pent up anger directed towards the repression and economic failures instigated by the Government.

Tear-gassing of protests is now reported to have ceased in central areas of Thessaloniki and protests have become organized with protesters organizing stewards
and self-defence groups to stop opportunists taking advantage of the delicate situation in order to loot and sow chaos.
The only means of expression advocated by the vast majority of organized student’s movements (..) is the exercising of people’s democratic political
opinions through direct dialogue. However, brutality and force dispensed by the security forces will be resisted.
